SimVault
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 3, 2026
SimVault is designed as a local-first, privacy-focused app for organizing physical SIM cards, eSIM profiles, virtual phone numbers, mobile plans, and related notes.
SimVault (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is built so your private SIM information stays under your control. We do not track your private SIM records, we do not read them, and we do not collect them.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the SimVault iOS app, the SimVault website, and support communications. It explains how the app stores data locally, how optional Apple services may be used, and what limited purchase/support information may be handled outside the app.
2. Your Data Stays Yours
The core of SimVault is local-first. Your SIM, eSIM, virtual-number, package, wallet, tag, lookup, note, and backup data belongs to you and is stored on your device by default. We do not participate in, review, monitor, or control your records.
SimVault does not operate servers. Your private records are kept on your device, or in your private iCloud database if you enable iCloud Sync.
3. Information Stored by the App
Depending on which features you use, the app may store the following information on your device or, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your private iCloud database:
SIM, eSIM, and virtual-number records
- Phone numbers, carrier or provider names, country or region details, status, groups, tags, and display preferences.
- SIM identifiers and activation details you choose to save, such as ICCID, IMSI, EID, SMDP+ address, activation code, confirmation code, activation date, and related notes.
- Mobile plan information, such as plan names, billing cycles, prices, balances, expiration dates, voice minutes, SMS counts, data allowances, remaining data, and package notes.
App settings and organization data
- Lookup lists, carrier/region presets, app preferences, privacy-mode settings, reminder settings, backup settings, and related local configuration.
- Backup files, imported files, exported files, and other files you create or choose to process with SimVault.
4. Local Storage, iCloud Sync, and Backups
Your SimVault records are stored locally on your device by default. If you enable iCloud Sync, records sync through Apple iCloud and CloudKit between devices signed in to your Apple ID. Your private records stay on your device, or in your private iCloud database if you enable iCloud Sync.
SimVault can create backups and import or export data, including JSON files. You decide where exported or backup files are saved and shared. We do not receive those files unless you choose to send them to us for support.
5. No Tracking of Private Records
SimVault does not track your private SIM records, does not upload them to us, does not use them for analytics, does not sell them, does not use them for advertising, and does not use them to train machine-learning models.
6. Permissions
Camera and Photos
SimVault may request camera access to scan eSIM QR codes and photo library access to save generated eSIM QR codes or select images when a feature requires it. These permissions are used only for the feature you request.
Face ID and Device Passcode
If you enable App Lock, SimVault can use Face ID or your device passcode to unlock app data. Authentication is handled by iOS. SimVault does not receive or store your Face ID data or device passcode.
Network Access
SimVault uses network access only for platform features you choose or that are needed to operate the app, such as checking App Store or RevenueCat subscription status, restoring purchases, syncing through Apple iCloud/CloudKit when iCloud Sync is enabled, opening App Store or feedback links, and sending support email through your mail app. Network access is not used to upload, inspect, detect, scan, analyze, or process your private SIM records through third-party APIs.
7. Purchases, Support, and Platform Services
Your private records exist only on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud database. SimVault does not send them to any third-party API for requests, detection, scanning, analysis, or processing. The only information outside that local/iCloud flow is limited to services you choose to use:
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit. If you enable iCloud Sync, Apple stores and syncs your records in your private iCloud database under your Apple ID.
- Apple StoreKit / App Store. Apple processes purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, renewals, and refund requests.
- RevenueCat. RevenueCat helps verify purchase status and unlock SimVault Pro entitlements. It does not receive your SIM records from SimVault.
- Support email. If you contact support, we receive only what you choose to include in your message.
8. Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, reset app data, or uninstall the app. iCloud data remains in your iCloud account until you delete it through SimVault controls, iCloud controls, or Apple account tools. Exported and backup files remain wherever you saved or shared them until you delete them. We do not keep a copy of your private records.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Because your records are local-first and controlled by you, the primary privacy controls are in the app, iOS, and your Apple account. You can:
- Edit or delete records in the app.
- Clear local data, iCloud data, or both using available data management controls.
- Export your records or backups when supported.
- Disable iCloud Sync, reminders, App Lock, or other optional features in app or iOS settings.
- Revoke camera, photo, notification, Face ID, and iCloud permissions in iOS settings where available.
10. Do Not Track and Advertising
SimVault does not use advertising networks, does not use the device advertising identifier, does not perform cross-app tracking, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Because there is no advertising tracking to suppress, browser-based “Do Not Track” signals do not change the app behavior.
11. Children’s Privacy
SimVault is distributed through the App Store and follows Apple age rating, Apple ID, Family Sharing, and purchase requirements. It is not intended for anyone who is not allowed to download or use the app under those App Store requirements or local platform rules. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International Data Transfers
Your private SIM records stay on your device, or in your private iCloud database if you enable iCloud Sync. If you make purchases or contact support, Apple, RevenueCat, or email providers may process limited related information according to their own infrastructure and policies.
13. Security
SimVault uses platform features such as local device storage, iCloud, and iOS authentication where applicable. Data stored in iCloud benefits from Apple’s iCloud security model. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so you should protect your device, Apple ID, backups, and exported files.
14. Platform and Purchase Services
SimVault may rely on platform and purchase services with their own terms and privacy policies. These services do not receive your private SIM records from SimVault:
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit
- Apple StoreKit / App Store
- RevenueCat
- Apple platform services such as Face ID, device passcode, camera, photos, and notifications
- Email providers used for support communications
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we will update the “Last updated” date.
